Remember this time last year, when Pantone announced the colour of 2023, Viva Magenta?
A bold, vibrant colour that inspired many brands in a wide range of sectors: architecture, design, clothing, cosmetics, etc.
In 2024, it’s a return to softness and voluptuousness, with a warmer hue that “captures our desire to nurture ourselves and others”, as Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute™ so aptly puts it.
Let’s enter the delicate world of Peach Fuzz, chosen as colour of the year for 2024!
Peach Fuzz: warmth and comfort for 2024
For 2024, the experts called in by Pantone clearly detected that the world needs closeness, (re)connection and warmth.
Inevitably, then, the Pantone Color of The Year 2024 had to reflect this shared desire for compassion, with a soft , cocooning hue .
Peach Fuzz was the obvious choice. In fact, Leatrice Eiseman describes this hue as “a shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless”.
At once delicate, modern and subtle, this peach colour also evokes the hope for a gentler everyday life, and provides some great creative ideas for the weeks and months ahead.
Art direction for a brand, customisable accessories for an event, or a uniform for the staff of a tea room… whether it’s a bold statement or used in discreet touches, Peach Fuzz will bring a sense of delicacy that reassures and soothes.

Peach Fuzz and its colour palettes, the TopTex selection
Love the optimism and warmth of Peach Fuzz?
Would you like to offer your customers this inclusive, current trend, in a 100% assertive version or a harmonious combination of different touches?
Here again, the Pantone Color Institute has thought of everything: to tie in with 2024’s winning shade, the experts have created five colour palettes, which allow Peach Fuzz to be combined with other shades.
These palettes, which can be found on the Pantone website, all have one thing in common: they use Peach Fuzz to warm and soften colourways that can sometimes be more neutral or even cool.
Take the Pairings palette, for example: Peach Fuzz brightens and warms up blue shades and complements more pink and orange shades, creating a harmonious whole that’s delicate, colourful and modern, all at the same time.
Taking into account these association ideas from Pantone, here are a few suggestions for your customers to incorporate Peach Fuzz into their colour projects:
- A logo embroidered on a dark blue t-shirt, with a slightly iridescent thread, for a discreet but luminous nod
- Peach-coloured chinos in the workwear of a fashionable grocery shop – comfortable for staff and reassuring for customers
- In the graphic charter of a brand that dares to (re)brand itself in a modern and striking way, to be used on the goodies given away to its employees
- In the spring-summer collection of a ready-to-wear brand, to create a fresh and cheery feel
- For baby and kids accessories, where a soft, subtle shade always works

Pantone Color Of The Year, 25 years of passion for colour
Where there’s colour, there’s Pantone. Since 1866, Pantone has been creating, revealing and inspiring, and over the years the institute has established itself worldwide as the benchmark in colour.
Why? In marketing, design, fashion, film and architecture, colour plays an absolutely key role.
The experts at Pantone are convinced that there is a powerful link between emotions and colours. In fact, if you take a closer look at the shades thatsurround us, it becomes quite clear that they all have a strong and unique symbolism.
It was with this in mind that Pantone decided to launch its Pantone Color of The Year programme in 1999, to stimulate exchange and reflection between different colour experts. Designers, architects and stylists from all over the world meet throughout the year to analyse, decipher and anticipate trends and define the hue that will set the tone for the year ahead.
And to arrive at this conclusion, many areas are examined with a fine-tooth comb: the sports, film and entertainment industries, art collections, on-trend travel destinations and getaways, and even the games of the moment. It’s a painstaking, meticulous job, and the result of all these observations is the colour of the year.
What’s special about this year? Pantone Color of The Year celebrates its 25th anniversary! And the programme still has plenty of years ahead of it, as it grows in popularity year on year.
A successful mission for the institute, which had set itself the challenge of enabling colour enthusiasts to use shades to “tell a story and enhance their creativity”. Today, the impact of the Pantone Color of the Year can be seen in furniture, interior design and advertising, of course, but also in the automotive, packaging and multimedia industries… in short, colour is everywhere!
You’ll now have ideas to share with your most daring, creative and colour-conscious customers, based on the flagship colour of 2024. Use the Peach Fuzz colour palette to come up with creative ideas with character AND softness.
Whatever the case, Pantone’s message this year is clear: we need comfort, and customisable clothing and accessories are no exception!
