Breathable, soft and comfortable materials

One of the key criteria when choosing sportswear is undoubtedly the material.

With this in mind, we want it to be hardwearing, lightweight, comfortable and breathable.

For all these reasons and more, polyester isoftenused in sportswear.

This synthetic fibre is robust, not particularly absorbent and dries quickly. What’s more, it’s available in an eco-friendly version, such as in these leggings made from recycled polyester, which reuse nine 50cl plastic bottles.

Cotton, on the other hand, gives a silkier appearance to the fabric, but is highly absorbent. Ideal for post-training debriefs or for sports-inspired casual outfits, which are very much in vogue at the moment.

Alternatively, polyester and cotton fibres can be blended to create a mixed fabric that is both fleecy and comfortable, as found in tracksuits.

Patented technologies

What’s even more important in the composition of sportswear? The innovative processes that give textiles even more effective properties.

This is the case, for example, with Top Cool®, Coolplus® or Coolmax® fibres and fabrics.

These three patented technologies regulate temperature by air circulation and wick away humidity to the outside so that it can evaporate.

As a result, the garment doesn’t stick to the skin and, most importantly, sportsmen and women feel dry, even while exercising.

Depending on the material, thickness, budget and desired effect, several marking techniques are possible.

• Flocking for small volumes and monochrome motifs. For example, player numbers on jerseys. The quality AND cost-effective solution.

• Screen printing, for larger runs and/or more colourful designs. Will hold up particularly well over time, even after repeated washings.

• Sublimation on white 100% polyester textiles, for more complex designs, such as a club crest.
